I hate hate hate applying to summer interships.

"What are your reasons for applying to [BANK] and what is your understanding of the business area to which you have applied?"

Oh I don't know, I want to make decent money and you're a pretty big international bank.

That probably wouldn't go down too well I think.

4:25 pm - Zut alors!
Have been away for several days due to a mini break to Paris! Ahhhh it's a very pretty city, weather wasn't the greatest while we were there but it wasn't completely pissing it down so that was alright, didn't get many decent shots with DSLR though :(

We went to Notre Dame (probably my favourite place there), Louvre (saw Mona Lisa - was cool and all but nothing earth shattering), walked down the champs elysees, L'Arc de Triomphe, went to the top of the Eiffel Tower at night (amazing views), Sacre Coeur, Musee D'Orsay and had yummy things like crepes, pain au chocolat, croissants and le cafe!

Took just under 300 shots and I only really like a handful, I'm a complete newbie at photography but would love to learn how to take great shots. It was very difficult getting good night shots from the top of the Eiffel Tower! I'd appreciate any tips regarding anything photography :)

Hehe, as we were walking away from some guys trying to sell us some kinda string thing at Sacre Coeur they shouted out "Sexy Boom Boom! Hakuna Matata!"

Brilliant.

12:16 am - Oh the library.
So I've been going to the library everyday to revise for my exams and needless to say, my day is rather boring. I go in, work work work, come home around 10pm, eat dinner, sleep.

The other night I noticed the bloke sitting opposite me had his hand down his trousers, scratching his balls.

It's a sad sad day when the "highlight" of your day is a guy scratching his balls.

First exam tomorrow - urgh.

Oh dear god I'm hooked on Facebook.

I've gotta say though, it's fantastic seeing all my old friends on it...the comfort of knowing they're still around and the ability to just say hello again.

Hooked I tell you!

Merry belated Christmas!!!

Hope you've all had a wonderful one - better one than me at least! I spent the day in bed with fever, a stomach bug, and nausea. Didn't even get to enjoy my roast lunch =(

Aaaaaaaaaand a BIG BIG thank you to my secret santa! In case you didn't already know, [info]skufish rocks \m/ \m/ Thank you so much for the hat and fingerless gloves - they seriously kick all kinds of arse =D I'm a proud owner of fishfish handknitted goods.

1:19 am - drinkydrinky
Oh dear. I got absolutely twatted last night.

We went to a pub called The Coronation Tap for my friend's 20th birthday. Now, this pub is famous for it's cider as it's only allowed to sell it in half pints because it's at 13%. I'm not a cider drinker but it tasted really nice, and it went down very very easily.

You can see where this is going.

I seem to remember speaking/slurring in a very strong Scottish accent - must have made a right tit of meself which probably continued on to when we went onto clubbing and danced like a plonker.

It was fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun.

11:36 pm - iTunes problem
Thought I'd ask here first. I have a problem with iTunes and the whole sharing music dealio. People can see me just fine but when they try to connect to my computer it comes up with an error - something about port 3869 (IIRC).

I've tried opening up the TCP and UDP ports via Windows Firewall but people still can't connect to it. Although some of them have been able to connect but seemingly only when there are very few users. Would it have anything to do with the amount of music I have?

What gives? ;_____;

Man, gay clubs are so much fun.

Even better when it's £1 for a shooter.

Thus, we were all pretty much hammered. )

9:29 am - I'm faaaaaaaaaaalling
I went indoor climbing for the first time the other day and had a really good time. Despite my fear of heights, it was cool to learn how to tie the rope properly, climb the wall, bilay (sp?) for your partner etc. I made it to the top on some of the climbs! (different levels of difficulty yadadada)

I had one scary moment when I lost my footing and for those 1-2 seconds I was hanging just by my arms (because there was still some slack in the rope) before I scrambled about and put my feet on anything that was available. You know in the films, where you have characters hanging off the cliff side, screaming for the hunky hero to rescue them? Yeah, I wouldn't even be able to pronounce the first letter of his name before I'd let go and plummet to my death.

Next morning - HOLY HELL MY ARMS ARE BURNING.

Edit: Ooh! Thank you all so so so much for the birthday wishes, it was really lovely - I had a most excellent birthday =D

1:05 am - Lost
The UK is now about halfway through season one, took them bloody long enough to get the series over.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh how the heck does Locke know so much?! Everything! Jungle survival, how the island is working etc.
So many mysteries and backstories of everyone aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh.

Hurley cracks me up, Locke is badass. Christ, now I know why you US folk were so crazy about it.

A lot of blue-balls moments, which would be appropriate if I actually had balls.
